Artifact Summary 5 – Talent Management Plan Presentation
The artifact presented for this program outcome is a VoiceThread presentation for course OL 644: Talent Management. The program outcome my presented work represents is outcome number 5 “Develop and integrate creative, adaptive strategies that promote positive change and innovation” (Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, 2018). One of the course objectives this presentation addressed was “Evaluate talent management models to address organizational needs” (Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, 2018). The presentation, Competency-Based Talent Management, outlines a strategy for talent management at the organization where I work. The presentation is an overview of a full Talent Management Plan I created for the organization. The resulting presentation identifies a competency model for the basis of the strategy.
The artifact was chosen as an effective representation of how I believe such a model could be instituted: clearly, concisely and easy to understand. The course, OL 644, was squarely focused on assessing an organization and developing a model that could positively impact the organization. I believe this type of competency-based talent management plan could have a profound effect on our organization. Utilizing competencies as a common thread through the various aspects of talent management will help to keep the goals clear and grounded in organizational values at the core.
